I’ve had lots of free time in the last few days…. visiting my parents in the home that I grew up in, sitting on the bed that I slept in for many years.

Now I type poetry in new verses where I once tried writing it in a tattered notebook with mixed results. How am I supposed to judge my own writing anyways. I feel like this recent stuff is both the closest and furthest I’ve ever reached from my real emotions, and i still can’t really understand how i can feel this paradox. it shouldn’t be but it is. like when I first understood that good and evil were actually pretty flexible concepts!

I rode home with my friends in a car to get here. we stopped in cleveland. I listened to lots of new music. My favorite new song is Janet Jackson’s rock with u which I’m too lazy to link to right now.

Recently, I’ve been living the home life, that is, my parents home. I have no job until June 22nd, so no time to find a temporary job, and plenty of time to waste!

So far I’ve read two books, Octavia Butler’s Parable of the Talents and a book on Cold Climate Gardening… both very good. Yay!

Yesterday, I made a return to peace vigil… it was fun… only one person flipped off Jack and I, and most people were very supportive! Another Yay!

At the library, I got 10 cds (I love libraries!), one of them was this:

My friends and I listened to it last night… wow, incredible stuff from George Michael…

the 80′s are still alive!

In other news, my friend Jack and I decided we should pursue a newfangled socialist state.

Yay!

Oh well.  In other news.  I was in New Mexico last week.  It is a beautiful and different state.  The attitude is different.  Santa Fe I just couldn’t get to know, it had something that it was hiding, and it wouldn’t give it up.  I met a man named Arvo who let my friends and I stay at his house.  We met his pet raven, Carlos.  She was quite intelligent.  I went to Chaco Canyon and lived with the stars.  No words can describe that night.

I laid awake in bed for about four hours… somehow time passed. What now? Keep breathing?

This post is acting just as restless as I am.

This post is stunning, beautiful and upsetting. I cannot imagine a life like that, occupied, controlled.
